About Dr. Metcalf
Dr. Metcalf is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her special interests include laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, evaluation and treatment of abnormal Pap smears, and adolescent gynecology. She has expertise in the Essure procedure, a new technique of tubal ligation, performed in the office without anesthesia or the need for incisions. In 2007, she will be offering the latest in contraceptive technology, Implanon, a single progesterone rod placed in the upper arm effective for 3 years. Dr. Metcalf has been named in Best Doctors for the past several years, and was named in the Best of Boston magazine in 2006. |
